The problem

Taxes in the United States are rising to the level of absurdity. A progressive tax system does nothing more than punish success and reward underachievement. Conservatives in office are working to cut your taxes; everybody's taxes.

A simple analogy: The bigger the car, the more gas it uses; the bigger the government, the more tax revenues it consumes (wastes). The American people deserve to keep the money they earn.

Cutting taxes creates a two-fold benefit. First, it allows the American people to keep more of their own money. Second, it demands more fiscal responsibility in Washington. The less money the government has to waste, the less it will waste.

A much more effective tax system is a use, or consumption, tax. This means Americans only pay taxes on the items they purchase; sales taxes are increased, while income taxes are eliminated. If you do not want to pay taxes, refrain from spending frivolously. A properly managed budget nets exponentially more wealth for the American people in all levels of our society.

The solution

End pork barrel government spending. Let Americans keep more of their own money. Republicans are not doing a good enough job at reducing taxes, and democrats are much worse. Encourage your local conservative to stand up for what we all know is best for our nation.

Let's get these items done:

• Eliminate income taxes; institute a consumption tax.
• Abolish government subsidies and corporate handouts.
• Reduce the size of our government by eliminating wasteful programs like social security and welfare.
